Meet Your Hostess

My adventure then took me home to help my family on their new journey of opening a Cafe and Ice Cream Shop in La Veta, CO and eventually a Boutique Inn. in Creede, CO. Again, these moves were shaping the way I wanted to live and how I wanted to show up in the world.
I have always enjoyed the simpler things of life and a slower pace in the world. I knew that I eventually wanted to move out of Colorado and my heart longed to be in Montana. I found my way to Montana in 2021 and eventually to Anaconda, Montana. I moved to Anaconda in February 2022 to recreate my life. If was one of the few times in my life that I felt truly guided, guided to a job as Manager of the Hickory House Bed & Breakfast. That's right, to the very place I now have the privilege to cherish once more. The Hickory House sold shortly after I began my managership and the new owners decided to run the business themselves.

Hi - It's Me... Chelsea Heersink,
the keeper, curator, and your hostess
I have been dreaming and envisioning owning and operating a bed and breakfast since I was in high school. I knew that it was something that I wanted to do with my life. I have a heart for hospitality, creating experiences and caring for others. I also love beauty and expression through design and art; landscaping, artful food, and interior design. I always felt that a bed and breakfast held the key to all of my desires, talents, and dreams, as though those dreams were boundless in that career path.
It's a funny thing how life works itself out and the different paths taken that lead to a certain moment in life. My journey took me through many places, first becoming a massage therapist and spending much of my time in the ski mountains of Colorado where my love for hospitality grew and talents were honed. I learned the art behind hospitality and how to design a stay that is unforgettable with the fine details making the biggest impacts.
