Fun history about the Hickory House Inn. In its previous life, the Hickory House Inn was the Rectory for the St. Paul's Church that stood proudly on the corner of Park Avenue and Cherry Street. The priest that inhabited the Hickory House lived in the Montana Suite. His office was in the Stillness room. There are secret floor hatches all over the Hickory House that lead into the basement. There's one of these hatches in the Stillness room, this is where the priest kept his special, rare wines and other important items.
This is where the Bird's Ambry gets its name. An Ambry is a hidden vault in a church that sacred oils and treasures were secured. Our Bird's Ambry is a curated selection of artisan goods that were gathered from nature, nurtured, and artfully presented. Nutrients kept for you to enjoy and indulge in.
